“We recognise that we all have rights, we respect the rules, we rise to our responsibilities”

Year 1

Welcome to Year 1!

We enjoy gardening.

We have been busy planting seeds, even when it's wet outside.

We are lucky to have help from some of our parents and grandparents.

This term we have been looking at the work of artist Andy Goldsworthy. We have been inspired to create work of our own, based on autumn leaves.

We looked carefully at leaves and used oil pastels and a scratching technique to create art.  We scratched the pictures with the wooden end of a thin paintbrush.

We created some pictures using wax crayons and a colour wash. We tried to use autumn colours and think about how Andy Goldsworthy used patterns in his work.
